Well, may fortune favor the foolish. With my wife expecting, and my carnie work status, I thought it would be better to take the family on the road rather than miss the first year of the baby's life.
Most weekends from February to mid-November I am one of the gypsys on the travelling circus called NASCAR. I work as a technician in the tape room, which really doesn't use much tape anymore. It's all gone digital and the tape machines are basically Tivo machines on steroids. Tough to explain, really, to make a long story short, I do replays.
This is how the circus lays out, typically:
The big black "Caterpillar" trailer at the bottom is the generator that powers the whole show....it could power the whole track including lights and everything if necessary.
